The Second Grade Standards Edition Unit 4 (Measurement, Geometry & Data) builds on previous learning extending proficiency with telling time, building a base for using money, recognizing and applying various means of data representation. Students will use measuring, estimating, comparing lengths and performing operations with lengths. Using geometric shapes students will recognize a visual representation of area and use addition and multiplication to find the number of square units in rectangles. Completion of the TouchMath Second Grade Units will provide students experiences with all standards typically required at this grade level.
